Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival via Giengen to Bad Reichenhall
After the morning departure, you will first make a stop in Giengen an der Brenz. Here you can immerse yourself in the world of plush toys in the Steiff Museum - you are never too old for this! You continue via Augsburg, Munich and Rosenheim to your overnight stay in Bad Reichenhall. Here you move into your stylish room in the Hotel Wyndham Grand Axelmannstein, located in the middle of the pedestrian zone of the old town, near the spa gardens. You will want for nothing in this hotel. There is also an indoor swimming pool at your disposal. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 2: Bad Reichenhall
After breakfast you will get to know the salt town of Bad Reichenhall on a guided tour: the name of the town stands for "rich hall". The natural salt deposits - the Alpine brine - have made the town famous and rich. The townscape of Bad Reichenhall is of the many Fountain, the royal spa garden and the graduation house, which enriches the air with the finest salt crystals. Then you visit the heart of Bad Reichenhall: the old salt works. A beautiful and popular hiking trail leads from the pilgrimage church of Sankt Bartholomä to the so-called ice chapel at the foot of the Watzmann east face: a dome made of ice and snow! Back by ship, the journey continues to the nearby Berchtesgaden to the salt mine. Here you are already waiting for lunch at Gasthof Reichenbach. Well strengthened, you start your journey through salt and time in the salt mine and become part of a mysterious tour underground. After marveling at the fascinating world of the "white gold", we continue to Berchtesgaden. Here you still have some time to stroll before we drive back to the hotel. You are expected for dinner.
Day 4: Return trip via Frasdorf - Anderlbauer cheese dairy
After breakfast it is time to “load your suitcase” again and return home with lots of new impressions. In Frasdorf am Chiemsee we stop again and you visit the small but fine cheese dairy Anderlbauer on a guided tour. After about 2 hours with a small snack, it really goes on towards home. Return in the early evening.
